You can choose to save your files in two formats, Alphabet Soup (.soup) and Alphabet Soup Portable (.soupp).
Alphabet Soup files save your arrangement of sounds associated with each key, their volume and balance settings, the colour and size of the window.
Alphabet Soup Portable or “self-contained” also saves the sounds themselves into your named file package. This makes it easier to distribute your files to others but can use much more disk space than .soup since it copies the sound files. If you wish to distribute .soupp files across the internet, you should archive your .soupp file first using a program such as ZIP, StuffIt or from the Finder on MacOS 10.3.
| Caution |
Be sure that you do not move your audio files once you save an Alphabet Soup file (.soup). If you do, Alphabet Soup will not be able to play them, since it will not know where to find them. |
